I have been a supporter of Cookeville Children's Theatre for many, many years. During my 25 years as a classroom teacher, I was honored to escort my class to CPAC to watch the CCT show each year. I began to work more closely when my youngest son, Eli began acting in shows in 2010, and I joined the board in 2012. Of course, seeing my own child on the stage is magical, but watching children year after year find that same magic from their seats in the audience has been so rewarding. Children who would not normally be exposed to theatre being spellbound throughout a show is such a privilege to watch. I feel strongly that this program is so important. From the actors that appear on stage, to the people who are able to enjoy watching, and the children and young adults who participate in workshops and classes, we are enriching lives. I am excited to help keep the magic alive by continuing this vital program.

I have been on the board of the Cookeville Children’s Theatre since 2012, in the course of that time I have also volunteered in various roles to support our mission and the children we serve. I believe in the power of theatre to positively impact children’s lives. Serving on the board allows me to contribute to a creative environment where kids can express themselves, build confidence, and develop important life skills. I am proud to be a part of an organization that not only entertains but also educates and inspires young minds.

I have been on the Board of CCT since 2012, when my son, Jesse, got involved. I’m fortunate enough to see what CCT did for him to this day, years later. I’ve witnessed boys and girls grow up at CCT to return and be leaders to the new actors and actresses.
I am a very small part of a great team. I believe in our Artistic Director who does an amazing job whether it be our workshops or it be our Fall Show. She along with her team build confidence in the children and they become family.
I hope you, like me, will contribute to this wonderful Non Profit Organization. -

I joined the board in 2024. My son, John Lucas (JoLu in CCT), began participating in CCT summer camps in 2015. After that first camp, he was hooked. Now in college pursuing a degree in Musical Theater, his passion has been fueled by the experiences and relationships he gained through this incredible organization. Being part of the CCT board allows me to give back to the program that had such a profound impact on my child. I am dedicated to ensuring that this valuable experience is available to as many children as possible.

This is my first year serving on the CCT board but I have been volunteering in various ways for nine years while my daughter was active in musicals and camps.
My hometown didn’t have anything like Cookeville Children’s Theatre when I was growing up. And I would have loved to have had the opportunity for something like this! I’ve also seen what a difference the program can make in the lives of children here in Cookeville. Confidence, self esteem, servant leadership and so much more are nurtured here and I am excited to be a part of it and give back to the organization.
My husband’s name is Trevor and we two kids. I am the Recreation Superintendent at Cookeville Leisure Services and love working with the community. I am a total book nerd and love being outside, working out and any kind of animal! (We have cats, dogs, chickens, rabbits, fish and a gecko!)
