The true purpose of arts education is not necessarily to create more professional dancers or artists. It’s to create more complete human beings who are critical thinkers, who have curious minds, who can lead productive lives.
— Kelly Pollock

In order to live out our mission, we needed a larger space that we could call our own. With the generousity of several donors from our community, our dream of owning our own rehearsal and class facility came within our reach.  After entering into a Land Purchase Sales Contract, we were able to transition to a traditional mortgage in July of 2016 with the plan to pay off the note within 5 years (2021).

A donation to Cookeville Children’s Theatre’s Building Campaign, will support both the purchase of and renovation of our new home, allowing us to deepen our impact on the community for years to come. Large or small, every gift is important and greatly appreciated. Please be generous. With your help, Cookeville Children’s Theatre will reach our goals!

Since 1976, Cookeville Children’s Theatre has supplied our community with quality Arts programs, nurturing young artists and audiences, and utilizing the talents of our area’s youth and local arts professionals.

We believe that the best way for young people to learn about and appreciate the arts is through direct, hands-on, or eyes-on participation. And CCT offers just that- Our focus is on professionally directed, hands-on programs that celebrate young people's spirit, creativity, and fresh perspective.

We maintain the highest standards in our productions because we believe that exposure to quality arts, and disciplined effort, is vital to encourage young minds to become productive, well rounded citizens of our community.
